a signature piece

It’s so fun to do a big signature piece!  We did this one last weekend for a jewelry event at Foxwoods casino.  It took roughly 6 hours of work on site, over 50 hydrangeas, 20 or so phaleonopsis orchids, over 100 dendrobium orchids, over 50 stems of lilies, 50 feathers, and tons of glittery branches!   We wanted to make sure it sparkled as much as the jewelry!

If you are having a formal wedding  and you can incorporate a signature piece into your budget, it certainly presents a “wow” factor for your guests.  The place card table is usually a great place to do a bigger piece.

And even if you don’t have much of a flower budget, consider using flowers in ways that present the greatest impact.  Keeping flowers in clusters and focusing on specific areas will really make a difference!
