Let's take a few steps back, to where it all began. To that day she first walked into a Stamford flower shop and nursery and offered to help and learn. The owner immediately noticed her innate abilities and encouraged her to take classes at the NY Botanical Gardens. Having always loved flowers and gardening, she jumped at the chance at turning a lifetime's passion into a possible vocation.
Knowing she wanted to focus on weddings and special occasions, she started working with a florist who shared this love. As her experience and repertoire grew, she took the plunge and opened Hana. Today, she's been designing and arranging for over 5 years now. But Yumiko continues to attend seminars regularly. (There's always something new to learn, isn't there?)
